Engine Fuel Additives
The purpose of Engine fuel additives is as follows:
- To homogenize the Heavy Fuel Oil, LFO and MDO.
- To restore the lubricity properties of the low sulfur Diesel and Kerosene to protect the fuel pumping and metering system.
- To add Detergent to clean and keep clean the fuel metering system, valve seats and combustion chamber, ring grooves. It’s like keeping the engine in new condition.
- To add combustion initiator to start the combustion fast.
- To add combustion catalyst to burn the fuel completely in the varying combustion conditions.
- To add corrosion inhibitor to protect the fuel tank and fuel transfer system.
- To add fuel stabilizer to stop the oxidation of the fuel in the storage tank and to dissolve the sludge already formed.
- To reduce fuel consumption.
